Parks Planning
Zoetica Environmental Research Services has worked with various municipal and provincial parks to help them meet their goals of sustainable park planning, decreasing the negative impact of humans on wildlife populations within and surrounding parks, aiding in invasive species deterrents and management, and in providing enhancements to the learning and experience of visitors.
Sample Project 1: Zoetica Environmental Research Services has been retained by the Canadian Wildlife Service (CWS) to aid in planning the Vaseux-Bighorn National Wildlife Area, in the south of the Okanagan Valley of BC. The area contains highly unique habitat, and hosts a number of species at risk that require consideration under their respective recovery strategies. Using a combination of wildlife biologists, consultation/facilitation experts, and park planners, we will be collating what is known about the area for the design and enhancement of visitor experiences, while protecting the integrity of wildlife populations and the unique habitats that comprise this amazing area.
